Hello HavaHeroes!
It's been an exciting start to my role as Executive Director! We're proud to announce the opening of Springfield's first 24/7 pet pantry, located just outside HavaHeart's new building at 2228 College Street.
This free, self-serve station is stocked with pet food, gently used collars, and other supplies for anyone in need, helping families keep their beloved pets healthy, safe, and at home. We'll also be supporting pet owners with local spay/neuter and vaccination resources while they're here.

Foster Smarts
Schedules changing? Your dog feels it too! Here are a few tips to ease the transition.
Practice early – Start leaving your dog alone for short periods before the new schedule kicks in.
Keep goodbyes short – Quick, low-key exits are easier on your pup than long, drawn-out ones.
Add mental stimulation – A puzzle feeder, lick mat, or high-value toy can turn alone time into "me time."
Small changes now can mean a smoother, calmer routine for everyone this fall!
